everyone has a story to tell

everyone has a story to tell

more than just beauty

As our journey unfolds we discover our ability to transform and empower lives.

By sourcing our hero ingredients from my home country, Ghana, we create opportunities for them to make money and also ensure that the ingredients’ quality is not compromised.

Through fair trade practices, we ensure that the women who harvest and produce shea butter, Cocoa Butter and African Black Soap receive fair wages and opportunities for education and healthcare, creating a ripple effect of positive change in their communities.

Shea butter isn’t just any butter; it’s the hero of our story, the secret ingredient that has been nourishing skin and souls for centuries.

Passed down through generations, their knowledge and skill transform shea butter into a beacon of hope for dry skin, cracked lips, and weary souls.

upflifting women

In my entrepreneurship journey I am driven by my passion for uplifting women and young people. Shea butter is mainly processed by women in Ghana hence it is called Women’s Gold. The Orobaa Team also consists of women as the majority to challenge gender inequality in the world’s economy.

I also create opportunities for the youth in order to alleviate the unemployment rate in South Africa and also mentor them to explore entrepreneurship in order to avoid relying on employment as a source of income and as the only way to participate in the economy.

changing lives though eduction

I get frustrated when I see people’s skin and hair falling out of places and they don’t realise that nature surrounding them can heal them.

So with my formulations I aim to address those issues and even with how I sell. I educate my clients by passing down the ancestral knowledge that I received from my father.

Before the existence of technology and advanced scientific research and knowledge, people used nature to solve their skin problems and they understood their skin needs. But nowadays people rely on professionals to solve their skin/hair problems.

listen to your body

Orobaa aims to close this gap by educating people on how they can make well informed decisions with what they put on their skin or hair as well as help them learn how to listen to the skin’s voice in order to treat the problem with the best solution.

For an example when the skin reacts, it’s communicates with you that either it is not happy with the products you’ve applied on it or it is dehydrated therefore you should applying products targeting to hydrate the skin from the dermis or there’s inflammation internally in a specific organ that you should get rid of.

Through sharing information and educating our clients, we have been receiving positive feedback on how people are now able to analyze their skin and figure our the best skin routine.

On other cases they have improved their lifestyle by consuming more nourishing food and detoxing to get rid of toxins, which has not only improved their skin/hair health but improved their overall well-being and health.

They look and feel better. This is the change we want to continue to see and hope they pass it on to future generations.
